Tuma Young of Eskisoqnik lnue'gati is
a graduate of the University of British Columbia Law School and is currently working on his PHD in law. Toma Young
is the first fluent speaker of Mi'kmaw'isimk to be admitted to the bar. Toma has attended Arizona's
Indigenous Law and Policy Program and was clerk for a judge of the Navajo Tribal Court while preparing a master's thesis
on ("Rediscovering Mi'kmaq Legal Concepts using the Mi'kmaq Language.") An associate at Patterson Palmer,Toma Young is
an important addition to Nova Scotia's growing cadre of Aboriginal lawyers
